    Dear Jeremy,

Just wanted to say that lately the FoF sucks harder than a Dyson.

Id really like to post a funny picture with a humourous "WTF" subtitle, but it will just get deleted. Heres a picture of a some one with a "WTF" look on their face instead.

Next week youve already warned it will be more like FoT. The day of the week doesnt matter, just the actual number of questions. If youre having trouble coming up with questions, youre not trying hard enough. God knows UHall is full of them. Is it the Devs you need to refer the questions to that arent helping? I hope not. From whats come out of the EA stables lately it hardly seems like theyre too busy to help you.

I got a couple of questions you can use for next weeks FoF if you come up short.

    1. When can we expect to start getting Five questions again on Fridays?

    2. Is 3 the new 5?

    3. Random statements arent questions. Oh snap...

If these questions are of use to you, then youre welcome to them. Just give me some credit, yo.

Even tho I know the thread will be moved/locked, I will respond.

At this time stamp, there are more than 5 good questions to be answered.
NOT the ones involving some mathematical Einstein figuring equation to figure something out, but simple down to Earth plain ole answers, not shrouded in mystery and secrecy.
Some to do with existing turn ins, some with future turn ins, some with dupes, some with SA, etc.

I know the spiel, that they have been answered...to which I reply Poppycock!
later, soon, can't discuss that, arent answers :stir:

I'm getting in this before it is too late. Yeah I mean, she obviously was rushing to get that pile out the door. So what? Nobody cares about this game anymore anyway. I mean, come on!! Captain Diaper Pants?? I don't think so.

That photo is hilarious. What a haircut!! His haircut fits that pose perfectly.

LoL. you know its funny reading about how bad UO is for customer service. How they dont do this or don't do that. Like its something new.

Ok heres an article I found back in 1997, Sept and aye this is a long one.

Hail and well met, tis your Herald CaBoT again reporting for duty. The wars seemed to have simmered down again, so I am off to other news. Here is something I hear all the time, "That bad man in the WOODS just killed me!". I am sure you have heard this as well. Hate to say it people, but we are not in Disneyland.

Some people get the idea that they are invincible, or that the rest of the people in Sosaria are "nice". I hate to break the news to you, but you've got to come out of your shell and look around, see what's going on. The goal of every person is one thing. SURVIVAL. I am sure you have all heard the phrase, "Survival of the fittest". This stands in Britannia as well as anywhere else you may go. The forests and mountains of Britannia are a dangerous place. In these places (anywhere outside of towns) laws do not exist. Morals are left back in town. People out there are ruthless and scavengers. They are looking to survive, same as you, they just have a different approach. You may be the nice little tailor from Vesper where everybody liked you, but don't expect the royal treatment once you leave the loving arms of the city gates. People out there are looking for the easiest prey, the weakest looking target. If you plan to make a long journey to some far off town, then you better have some kind of protection. For you are not safe on the roads between towns. These highways are always in sight of the watchful brigand or thief, just lying in wait for the next ignorant fool to walk by.

You can't expect the whole world to be full of do-gooders who hold up the virtues. You may find these people once in awhile, but most are out to make an easy, yet dangerous living. These are the outlaws of the land. They too are as much a part of the game as the paladins. Without your average outlaw, the game would not be a challenge. People would be walking around giving money and equipment to everybody they saw. It would mean nothing to make a journey from Vesper to Trinsic alone. These outlaws add a new dimension of fear and apprehension to the world. People know that they are out there, yet they dare to travel alone.

I, for one, am sick of hearing the people come into town, donning their white robes, wailing of how they were killed by some outlaw. (Usually the word is not as mild as there are many colorful terms for the word outlaw, and I am sure you have heard some of them.) They will scream and moan of how a party must be formed to go hunt down this brigand. Well, bad news, that brigand is long gone. You may never see him or her again. You may find this kind of trade unfair. In fact a lot of people do. But, it is really as fair as making and selling clothes. If anybody had half a brain and used it, they could avoid being caught by some of these outlaws almost 90% of the time.

First off, there are a few things that any traveler must know!

    Towns are SAFE
    Outside of towns are NOT
You (yes you, believe it or not) are NOT INVINCIBLE
If you don't like danger, stay home pretty boy.
Now, if you do decide that you have the guts to leave town, then there are a few survival tips that you should know as well!

The outlaws will look for two things, WEAK people, and UNARMOURED people. To fix this, make sure you are fully healed before you leave town, bring some healing potions along if possible. As for the unarmoured part, there is not much you can do, but you can play with the "outlaw's" mind. If you have ANY type of helmet, wear it and then don a robe. Usually an outlaw will not attack unless they are positive of victory. Now, it will be difficult for them to see if you have armour on or not if you are wearing a robe. If you are wearing a robe and a plate helm, for all they know, you might have full platemail, and they will probably pass you up for a weaker victim.
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS. Believe it or not, if you travel in packs you are less likely to be attacked. Sure, there are groups of outlaws travelling around, but these groups are few in numbers. By travelling in a pack, you will most likely be safe from the lone outlaws. 3. KNOW YOUR WAY AROUND or hire someone to come along who does! There is nothing worse then getting chased off the road and getting lost. If an outlaw does pop up, its always nice to know which way to run to get to the closest town or guard tower where you may find protection.
NEVER STAY STILL FOR TOO LONG. If an outlaw notices that you have been sitting in the same spot for some time, he/she may think that you have left the world. An outlaw would find it an ideal time to attack, for you would not be able to escape, and you would not know who did the deed. There are also many hungry animals/monsters in the forests. They too are looking for easy prey. So if they see you sitting still long enough they may decide to converge on your location and spread your entrails all over the road.
DON'T LOOK CONSPICUOUS! This one is a biggie. If an outlaw sees a master tailor walking by totally naked, he is going to wonder why. First off, he knows that most tailors are rich, and secondly, why would a master tailor be walking around naked? He would most likely close in for the kill. Also, some outlaws like to peek your belongings before they make any moves, so hide your more important things under stupid things. Like, hide your bag of gold underneath your spare leather tunic, or hide you magic slab of ham underneath your pants.
It's the little things like this that will save your hide on long journeys. Anybody who comes into town screaming of being killed should think twice of whose fault it really was. By following these simple steps you could keep your self in top breathing condition for an extended period of time.

(Thanks goes out to Milamber for inspiration for this story)

U can find this article in that link right there :D

Seriously. UO is doing what UO been doing for 11 years now :D If ya don't like it. stay in town. Go fight solo stuff. Etc etc. We are not in business to hear ya crying anymore. If ya don't like it.....well....

Blesh I do like your title:

I find your MASSIVE WALL OF TEXT disturbing. Dont ever do it again.

Im not sure why you posted it in relation to my thread. Im not complaining about players, or stuff ingame, or big bad PKs. Eff eff ess! Im complaining about our Public Relations thingy not relating to the public.

    Your reply makes me sad.

Did you really miss my point??? Thy complaining been going on since 1997 in some way or another LoL. Thats thy whole point. It don't do any good and if you don't like it leave.

Oh man, these were the days...

Best Dev post ever, love it! To the point, very truthful, polite but harsh at the same time. This guy (or gal) quite obviously understood what UO was meant to be, and what it was pre Ren, you almost get the feeling that he would of used the line 'go back to trammel' in there somewhere if there had of been a trammel to goto at the time...

ANYONE WHO GETS PKed (and feels the need to cry about it) IN UO NEED ONLY READ THIS POST!
  13. After complaining about FoF and complaining about "walls of text"

    waiting for public transport

nd then like this stupid mod like moves my post to spiels and rants and I'm like ... yeah ! right! cause they like always hide the truth from the masses cause they really don't like my frank and honest opinions on how to conduct their day to day lives cause like if they do acknowlege that I'm actually right then that means that they were wrong all along and then like they couldn't face that so they just hide the truth and I really wish I could show you what I mean but my turn at the computor at the library was up and the guy behind me was just moaning and begging me to hurry up cause like his life is sooo much more important than mine cause he doesn't know that I'm just trying my best to fix this game that I love cause its like really cool and all that not as cool as wow but better really cause like from here the connection IS pretty good to my home shard but all the other shards are too far away and they like don't come here and that means I have to wait for some one to logon that IS from around here cause its like not that many people play it FROM here but the ones that do are the best well except for these guys and I think theres a couple of girls in the group that well they are cheaters anyways and when I call them on it they are afraid that I will report them so they are just lying trying to make me look bad and trick me out of my items and run me off the best places to get the gold and stuff to turn in stuff to get these lousy items that they put out broken to begin with and take to long to fix but I'm like only paying month to month cause I'm sure they're gonna close down the game cause they din't want to hear how make the game better and there was this one guy that like I know hes one of the other guys that is always ....

Are you serious? If text makes you distrubed you need to see a doctor because the last I checked. These boards are full of texts, Massive walls of text.
Thats why this world is messed up.

The funny thing is that FoF is a Mythic (DAoC) tradition, and Mythic always gave actual questions with actual answers. It is amazing how much being part of EA has changed Mythic (not always for the better).

They don't listen to whining? Then explain how whining got us Trammel. They don't listen to whining? Then explain why whining gave us bonded pets. They don't listen to whining? Explain why archery went from a template no one would ever use to a template no one would do without.

Everything ever changed in this game has been from players "whining". In many cases, it would have been better if EA would have ignored those whines. However, you have to listen to the whines or people will simply own your game. Its the players, not the company that makes a MMORPG successful, and if EA can realise that then how is it that you are so lost?

Funny, they added Trammel and hopefully canned this jack because they wanted actual players. For the average person, reading that post is going to turn them off to the game. People want to keep what they feel they accomplished. Laws are in place for this very reason. Community consensus governs human action in all aspects.

I personally wasn't going near this game until Trammel was created, and my friend who told me how much "fun" this game was during those days begged me to play, and I kept telling him there was no way I was paying my money each month to put up with getting killed by other players and having all of my stuff stollen.
