The annual Christmas Wishing Well has been calendared! Time to dust off your Santa Hats, Antlers, and harness-up your Rudolph Agathion! Pick out your favorite tree and string the garland, it's that time!

As in previous years, the Lineage 2 Role-Playing Association is calling everyone to celebrate the holidays on the Aria server. On December 22nd, 2009, at 8:00 pm Central (9:00 pm Eastern / 6:00 pm Pacific / 2:00 am GMT) join them at the Dwarven Village to honor the spirit of the holidays, toast the new year (or simply yourselves) and revel the night away.

Zaphne, hostess of the Wishing Well, wishes it to be known that Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008, is the official Christmas Wishing Well. Unlike the traditional weekly Wishing Well, this festive occasion will be held in the Dwarven Village, deep in the mountains of Elmore.

Come and join the celebration! Come sit beneath the Christmas Tree and share a glass of egg nog with everyone and enjoy the carols and songs of the season. Gather with friends and strangers to ensure Santa himself remains free of the grasps of Thomas D. Turkey, and bathe yourself in the holiday season.

The good folks at MMO24.pl have interviewed Siren, the Associate Community Coordinator for Lineage 2. They have posted their interview in both English and Polish, so I urge everyone to pop over and take a look!

Apparently no one in the Lineage 2 Department of NCWest gets a Thanksgiving break:

Lineage II will be conducted message board maintenance from 1:00pm -
3:00pm CST on Tuesday, November 25th. During this time, no one will be
able to access the boards.

<p> Many players who follow the discussions on the Official Forums know that there have been discussions regarding the updating of the software that is used to run them. Today, Siren announced the update, and it's closer than we thought: </p> <blockquote> <p> <em>On Wednesday, November 19, the Lineage II message boards are going to be changed over to vBulletin. The migration is going to take place at 10:00am CST. The expected downtime is five (5) hours. During this time, no one will be able to read or write to the boards. The forums will be totally inaccessible. </em> </p>

Revita-Pops!!

Wait, what?

As mentioned in the Haloween Haunt event details, we all had a suprise item to look forward to. Today, Siren revealed the brand-new item "Revita-Pops" as the special treat.

What are Revita-pops, you ask?

A tasty candy treat that fully replenishes vitality upon use. This item cannot be traded, sold, freighted or dropped, but can be stored in your private warehouse.

Unlike the other Haloween treats, which have a limited duration, the Revita-Pops are single-use consumable. What does that mean to you?

The Revita-Pops will remain in game until you use them. There is no expiration time attached to this item.

PLEASE NOTE: To get the maximum effectiveness out of this item, it is recommended that it be used when you have completely exhausted your existing Vitality.

Those of you who utilize the NCSoft Support Center for your games, be they Lineage 2, Guild Wars, City of Heroes/Villains, etc, will find that the support center will be offline on Tuesday, October 21st. Siren, Acting Community Manager for Lineage 2, has posted the following announcement:

The PlayNC Support Center for all NCsoft products will be down on Tuesday October 21st beginning at 12:00 AM CDT/ 1:00 AM EDT / 5 AM GMT while the website undergoes maintenance.

During this time, you will not be able to open new tickets, receive responses from our support team, or access the knowledge database. The maintenance should be complete by mid day on Tuesday October 21st.
