Something spooky is definitely going on in Toontown as we kick off our biggest Halloween celebration ever! To start, we are really spreading the gloom all over Toontown this year with bone-chilling decorations in each neighborhood -- more than ever before. Plus, if you haven't gone shopping for all of your Toontown Halloween needs, then now is the perfect time to get started. Clarabelle has some truly spirited Cattlelog items for you to collect -- including a real "treat" of a SpeedChat phrase that Toons will need to take part in trick-or-treating for a "gourd-eous" reward next week. So, be sure to check the Web site next week for details on all of our ghoulishly delightful Halloween activities. It's sure to be a screaming good time!
Welcome to "Toon Talk" -- where we can discuss all things Toon!
With all of this ghoulishly delightful gloom spread all over Toontown, it's no secret that Black Cat Day is around the corner. How do you make one of these cool cats, you ask? Easy, log into Toontown on October 31 - which is the only day they are available - and create a new cat Toon. We recommend that you get into the spirit of the day and make a name which really suits your soon-to-be black cat. Then go to the Toontorial, and when Flippy asks you to use a SpeedChat phrase, say "Toontastic!" Poof ... you will be the proud owner of a rare, super-cool black cat - just in time to go trick-or-treating!
Dear Toontown,
Which neighborhoods offer new gag tracks to train for?
Shawn
Dear Shawn,
Some of the toughest decisions a Toon will ever face is which gags to train. With seven total gag tracks available and only six open for training, it's enough to make a Toon's "gears spin" trying to decide!
To answer your question, your first choice is offered while completing ToonTasks in Toontown Central, where you have the option of training for either the Toon-Up or Sound gag tracks. Next will be Drop or Lure which become available while working on ToonTasks in Donald's Dock. Then you will have a break from learning a new track so you can skill up the ones you already have. However, once you are working on tasks in Minnie's Melodyland, you will be faced with your next choice: Trap or either Sound or Toon-Up (depending on which one you picked in Toontown Central). Then while in The Brrrgh you can finally round out your sixth gag track with whatever is left.
While each gag track has its strengths and weaknesses, we recommend that you find some Toons that already have the gags you're thinking about training and see how they use them. This might help you decide which gag tracks are right for you.
